Painting with a Friend

A friend visited the other day and we paint together. Laura's primary medium is acrylic and I was introducing her to pastel. When she left she decided not to take the piece she'd been working on. I wanted to see what would happen if I continued painting a piece someone else had started. Her color palette was different than mine as was her mark making. It was an interesting challenge. The process pushed me to use new color combinations and find a way to incorporate her marks. It's fun having a friend who likes to collaborate.
