Plein-air Season Begins

I was plein-air painting with friends this weekend in Skagit Valley on the west side of Washington state. The weather was sunny and the temperatures hot. It was a weekend of 80 to 90 degree days with not much shade to be found. We used a lot of sunscreen and drank a lot of water. It's always fun to paint with old friends and meet new friends.

Daily Paintworks

I've started posting small pastel landscapes to Daily Paintworks. These small paintings get me started when I go into the studio. They're something I can complete in one short session and a way to jumpstart my time in the studio.
